Join the Nakusp & Community Trails Society for a snowshoe along the Kimbol Lake Trail through old growth cedar and hemlock from the Nakusp Hot Springs parking lot to a pretty creek 2.6 km up the trail, or 5.2 km return. The elevation gain is just over 200 m. The trail is a relatively easy intermediate snowshoe except for several steep sections. Good quality MSR type snowshoes annd poles are recommended. Alternatively, you may bring boot grips, spikes or chains and carry your snowshoes up and down the steep sections. If we take it easy and help each other most people should be able to complete the trip.
We will stop for lunch or snacks at the creek. Return time will be approximately 3.5 hours.
