

Come join us for a group hike to beautiful Shannon Lake, located in a mountainous amphitheatre SW of Hills with access off Bonanza Road and the Shannon Creek FSR. This is a moderately difficult, relatively short hike with some steeper sections with unstable footing. The hike alongside Shannon Creek and the lake itself are worth the time and effort!
Date – Sunday July 13
Time – 08:00 am to 2:00 pm
Meeting Location – Mountain Top Coffee on Broadway, Nakusp
Kit – normal hiking gear and clothing including boots with ankle support, hiking poles and bear spray recommended.
Supplies – lunch and water for the day. Creek and lake water are available for filtering
Vehicle – 2 wheel drive with normal ground clearance acceptable for the FSR. Last 900 m is overgrown with light brush.
