Join us for an easy 3.8 km one-way 7.6 km return snowshoe on the Summit Lake to Hills Railtrail along Bonanza Creek on Sunday Feb 3. The trail borders scenic Bonanza Creek until the washout at 3.8 km, our destination where we will stop for a snack or lunch (bring your own). We will meet at 10 am at the pullout on Highway 6 just east of the Summit Lake Ski hill at the pullout where the railtrail crosses the highway. There is a trail kiosk at the trailhead. This is a beginner to intermediate snowshoe. Even if you are new to snowshoeing you should be relatively fit since walking almost 8 km munching through snow isn’t that easy. We will see beaver dams, houses and winter rafts of sapling for food.
