Kimbol Lake Trail Cleanup July 31
Frank K, Jamie D and Bob T headed up the Kimbol Lake trail on July 31 for a good day of clearing deadfall, light brushing, and trail grooming. The trail is now in tip top shape and ready for hikers to enjoy the cool shade of the woods along the way, including some old growth cedar near the lake. Take your time and linger at the stream crossings, a log bench overlooking a gulley, or have a picnic at one the old, legacy log tables along the way.
Cedar Grove Signs July 27
Barb C, Michele N and Bob T replaced one Cedar Grove access direction sign at a junction, and erected a new one along the Kuskanax FSR just past the caribou calving pen on July 27. It was stony, tough digging, but the team prevailed and put up three new posts, level and true. Hikers should be able to find the trail now! Good work!
