Kimbol Lake Clearing June 12
Frank K, Jamie D and Bob T cleared, brushed and groomed the Kimbol Lake Trail from the Hot Springs Source Trailhead ¾ ot the way to the lake before they ran out of batteries for the electric chainsaw. Bob carried on with his handsaw to inspect the remaining trail and remove a few small falls. Three falls remain but they can easily be stepped over or ducked under. The trail is generally in good shape. A new bypass was built around a large fall that isn’t worth clearing due to the number and size of trees involved. The bypass begins at approximately 1.6 km from the Hot Springs parking lot and is well marked with flagging tape and tree tags.
